The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria has been honoured with YOUPAD Corporate Mandate Award, in recognition of its corporate contributions towards the delivery of its mandate and in appreciation of the successes recorded which are as outstanding as they are remarkable.
In what would translate as triple honours, The Executive Director, of Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, Dr. Okai Haruna Abubakar Aku has also been conferred with the prestigious Thomas Sankara Leadership Prize as PAN AFRICAN ICON OF HEALTHCARE RENAISSANCE. That was followed up with a formal induction into YOUPAD Hall of Fame for his indelible footprints in the landscape of healthcare in Nigeria.
In profiling the personality of the award laureate, Comr. Kewul A. Suleh (Secretary YOUPAD) credited Dr. Aku for his leadership acumen and ability to inspire teamwork and harmony in PPFN which have translated into optimum performance and visible results in reproductive health and healthcare advocacy in Nigeria.
In delivering his response on behalf of PPFN, the Executive Director of PPFN thanked YOUPAD for the recognition. He used the occasion to sensitize the YOUPAD delegation of the advocacy and frontline roles PPFN has been playing in the healthcare sector of Nigeria, especially in reproductive health and family planning.
The Youth Partnership for Africa’s Development (YOUPAD) is an African-based youth organization with a core objective of building the youth in leadership and entrepreneurship for the purpose of providing Africa with intellectually equipped and dynamic youth for leadership roles in Africa and the international arena.
